All Day Stamp Event…

For the last 10+ years, Stampin’ Up! have supported the work of the Ronald McDonald Houses Charity in the US by donations from the sale of a charity stamp set.  With the release of the 2013 catalogue, this years stamp set has been released to all the Stampin’ Up! markets to raise money for Ronald McDonald Houses in their country.

To help Stampin’ Up! raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charity, I thought it would be great to organise an All Day Stamp Event.  So here are the details:

Date: Saturday 28th September 2013

Time: 10am – 4pm

Location: Bilton Methodist Church Hall, Bilton, Rugby, CV22

Cost: £35, which includes a kit for the day worth £30 plus a light lunch and refreshments all day too.

What will you make: 3 gorgeous projects – each incorporating a 3D item along with coordinating card which will feature images from the Stampin’ Up! Ronald McDonald Charity Stamp Set; Tag It.

Each kit will include the stamp set, as well as many other goodies to complete all 3 projects.

I’d really like to be able to make this as big an event as possible, so all projects will come complete with full instructions, plus my tuition and help on the day meaning these projects will be suitable for everyone from beginner stampers to more seasoned crafters!

The event will also include a ‘raffle’ for which I will donate all the prizes myself.  All proceeds from the raffle will go the Ronald McDonald House Charity, as will £2 from each stamp set I purchase from Stampin’ Up! to make up your kits.

In case you’ve never heard of the Ronald McDonald House Charity, here’s a bit about the amazing service they offer:

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is an independent Charity which aims to provide free ‘home away from home’ accommodation at hospitals across the UK, enabling families to stay close to their child and maintain a degree of normal family life.  There are currently 14 Ronald McDonald Houses across the UK, all just a stone’s throw from the children’s ward.  Together they help more than 6,000 families every year.
Many families travel miles from home so that their child can receive expert medical care from specialist children’s hospitals across the UK. Often, children have to remain in hospital for months at a time, so for the families, staying close to their child can be a struggle. Without a local Ronald McDonald House, many parents have to sleep on a chair by their child’s bed, on a pull down bed if this is available, or pay vast sums of money for hotel accommodation.
As an independent charity, we rely on the support and generosity of our families, volunteers and donors. It is because of your fundraising efforts that we are able to look after families with children in hospital.
We have achieved a lot in the last 21 years. However, there is still a great deal to do. Our mission is to ensure we have sufficient funds and expertise to develop and sustain free accommodation at every specialist children’s hospital in the UK.

An amazing and worthwhile charity, I’m sure you’ll agree.

Please help me support this wonderful charity by joining me at this fabulous event, and also by spreading the word about it to anyone you think might like to come along and make a difference and help us raise money for this great charity.

Please book your place(s) with me by Friday 13th September 2013.  Due to the event type, payment will be needed by this date also.  If you cancel your place before the deadline, then a full refund will be given.  In the event that after this date you are unable to attend, then no refund can be given, but you will receive the full kit along with instructions on how to make all the projects.

I would love it if you would be able to come along and join me for day filled with fun, friendship, laughs and crafts!
