Wonderland Wreath…

Hello there! Well, that weekend went by in a flash, didn’t it?! Then, the last few days have been a whirlwind of finishing up the project videos for my online class ‘Let’s Wrap Up Christmas’, as well as designing projects for my upcoming ‘Create Your Christmas’ class – an in-person event where folks come and create their Christmas cards, their Christmas Packaging – or both! I shall be all Christmas’d out by the beginning of November!

It’s a Christmas card I have for you today and, I’ll be honest, it’s one I’m not too sure about! I love the concept, I’m just not convinced by the execution! I LOVE the Wonderland stamp set, but admit, the branch with the pine cones was kind of throwing me – I had no ideas at first what to do with it!

I had about 3 attempts at the wreath. The first one turned out too large, the second one was kind of squashed! I’m fairly pleased with the this third one, but then had no ideas how to put it on a card! I’ve ended up layering it with some Gold and Mossy Meadow and adding a sentiment. The stamp itself is inked using Stampin’ Write markers in Early Espresso and Mossy Meadow.

Anyway, I hope you like the idea – and maybe the card! Let me know if you have a try and making a wreath with this stamp set and how yours comes out.

  1. Wow! Like you I had no idea what I was going to do with this stamp. It just left me hanging, but this card is simply elegant. What size did you make your circle and how did you keep it so perfect if you don’t mind me asking?

    • To try and keep a good circle shape, I drew one very faintly in pencil. I just drew around a circle die – 2 5/8″ (~7cm). I then used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig to position the branch fairly evenly around the circle. HTH. X
