Cozy Christmas Embroidery Hoop Decoration!

It’s nearly the weekend! Hurrah! I can’t decide of it’s been a long week or a short one, but it’s nearly over whatever it was! We’ve no plans for the weekend particularly either, which I also love! Except, we do need to tidy our spare room so it can be used in a couple of weeks. It’s become a major dumping ground in our house, and now it’s needed and we’ve got to put all this stuff away! Do you have a room like that in your house?

Anyway, I’ve something really different for you today. I saw a cute idea pinned on Pinterest a couple of month’s ago – an embroidery hoop used as a decorative item! I then did a search and pinned some other ideas (you can see those here) and then I couldn’t wait to have a go and make my own!

This is a 4″ Embroidery hoop. I’ve stamped the cottage from Home For Christmas and a sponged background onto a piece of Whisper White and cut it out using a Circle die and glued it to the back of the frame with a little Tombow. I then added a little snow drift layer in front using a smaller circle and the Sleigh Ride dies to cut the snow drift and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to add it to the front.

I finished it with a Mossy Meadow sentiment banner, a Home for Christmas Star button and some Real Red PomPom trim around the outside to finish. I used Glue Dots on the back of the PomPom’s to stick that on.

I was so pleased with the end result. I’m not sure if you’d put it on your tree, or just to decorate round the house – but either way – it’s cute!

Make It Yourself!

What do you think? Fun?

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, whatever you’re doing,

Crafty Hugs, Val. XX
