‘Love Birds’ For The Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Hi, and welcome to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! 20 fabulous Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world, here to give you bucket loads of inspiration!

This month, Stampin’ Up! asked us to combine the Love Blossoms DSP Stack and Accessories Kit with some stamps not created specifically for Valentine’s. It’s always great to show that many stamps and products are not limited to just one event or celebration, but can be used year round – I can’t wait to see what everyone has made, so let me crack on and show you my projects:

I’m not a huge user of DSP, so this was a particular challenge for me, but I’ve managed to sneak a few strips in here and there!

The First Sight stamp set, at first glance, looks like your classic Mother’s Day set – but it has so much more potential than that! Valentine’s, Friends, Weddings…

I love the little bird nestled in the heart image! To make mine stand out, I punched a little bird using the Tree Builder punch from Crumb Cake card, coloured him gold with my Wink of Stella brush and added him with a snip of Stampin’ Dimensional. I’ve used other stamps from the set as layering elements, along with strips of DSP and bits from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit.

For my second card, I kept it cleaner and simpler – a white base, layered with a strip of DSP, a white Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit and then the heart again from First Sight. I gave the little bird the same treatment as before.
