‘Let’s Drink Coffee’ with the Artisan Design Team

Welcome to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are 20 demonstrators from around the world, here to create, share and inspire with you!

For this showcase, we were challenged to make the gorgeous Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper the focus of our project. I love this thick Kraft based card for 3D projects – it’s perfect. I had a few ideas kicking around in my head, projects I’d been working on etc. I pulled them all together along with this inspirational piece I had saved on Pinterest to create this:

A cute mini coffee cup carrier! Totally in love! I found some little coffee cups in my stash from a previous project and after removing the ribbed sleeve they came with, I used that as a template to cut new sleeves from the Shine On DSP and stuck them around the cups.

Next up, I created the carrier from a 6″ x 12″ piece of the Shine On DSP. I cut two circles from the centre using a Circle Die Framelit fitted to the top of my coffee cups. The two ends of the DSP are attached together (I used my mini stapler) and then the die cut handle added. For this, I used the Party Pop-Up Thinlits, and the partial die cutting technique to create the Speech Bubble Handle from Silver cardstock.

Finally, I added the Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon and a Tea Cup Tag using the Cup and Kettle Thinlits. My sentiment is from the Balloon Celebrations stamp set, which also coordinated beautifully with these dies!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project. Please hop on around to visit Allison and see her gorgeous project!
