Always Grateful For The Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop for October! The Artisan Design Team is a group of 20 demonstrators worldwide, chosen by Stampin’ Up! to share their creativity. For this hop, we are focusing on a theme of ‘grateful’.

This post’s title kind of says it all really. I will always be grateful for my time on the Artisan Design Team. It has been a total dream to work with some of the best designer demonstrators out there, and to have made new friends all over the world!

When asked what makes Stampin’ Up! for me – I always reply ‘the people’. I love the product, but for me, the people are what make this little business of mine all worthwhile. The customers, all of whom are now my friends. The staff from local and global home offices. The other demonstrators, both in the UK (can’t wait to meet up with lots in a few weeks) and all over the world as we get to know each other virtually. The people who follow the blog and leave kind comments (wink, wink!). I’m grateful for ALL OF YOU!

For this blog hop, I kept things kind of simple – and focused on another thing I’m grateful for – cake! I am always grateful for cake! I wish I could send you all a cake!

For this project, I created a ‘tray’ for my cake using the Stampin’ Up! Paisley & Posies Designer Series Paper. I simply used my baking tin as a kind of template to draw on the back of the card, then cut out and stick together.

I always bake my cakes in liners so they don’t stick to the tin, but they also help with minimising the grease staining onto the card tray too.

I then popped my cake into one of the new Gusseted Cellophane Bags then tied it all up with ribbon from the Ribbon Trio Pack in the Stampin’ Up! Autumn/Winter catalogue.

Finally, I created a tag using a 3×4 card from the All Year Long Project Life Card Collection. I added the sentiment, cut from another PL card, and finished it off with a couple of the cute Copper Mini Pinecones.

Let me know if you’d like more detail on how I created the ‘tray’ for my cake, and I’ll see what I can do.

If you live in the UK, and need any Stampin’ Up! supplies to make this, or any other project, you can get everything you need in my Online Shop. For this project, the items I used are listed below and you can click on any product image to add them to your shopping basket:

Many thanks for stopping by. Please hop onto the lovely Allison in Canada who I’m sure will be grateful to see you!

If you any reason, you find the blog hop breaks at some point, please bear with us and try again in a short while. We do our absolute best to have the hop correct at ‘go live’ time, but sometimes mistakes happen. We aim to fix them ASAP, but we are all at different points in our day (it’s 2am for me so I’m asleep, for example) so it might take us a little while to sort it depending on where the problem is.

Halloween Week – Jar Of Haunts for Artisan Design Team!

Hi! Have you been feeling the spooks this week on the blog? Haha! I’m back with another Halloween treat for you today as part of the Artisan Design Team hop. I was worried about created two treats with the Jar of Haunts set this week, but it turned out fun!

Today’s Treat Bag Topper is an idea I played around with over a year a go, but then never turned it into anything! It was fun to revisit an old idea, improve upon using all the new products now available and then share it with you!

Ah! How cute is that?! Even the little spiders are cute! In fact, the cute rather detracts from the scary! Oh well! Would you like to know how I made it? I thought you might, so I made you a video:

And like so many things, totally not just for Halloween – you could so easily recreate these for birthday treats, wedding favours and more!

Thanks for stopping by today. Tomorrow is my final project as part of Halloween Week, I hope you’ll pop by for it. In the meantime, please hop to the delightful Allison in Canada who will blow you away with her scary talents!!

Packaging Paradise #1

Hi There! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Mine was a tad routine, household chores that kind of stuff. I did get a little stamping done though, and I’m going to have lots to share with you over the next few weeks so I hope you’ll keep stopping by.

Valerie Moody Corp Post Image 1

Today, I’m sharing one of the projects I created for my recent Stampin’ Up! corporate blog post. As part of my role on the Artsian Design Team, I need to create 2 blogs posts for Stampin’ Up! to publish on their blog – and my first one went up last week! I created 3 projects for it, and I’m sharing one of them here today (don’t worry, I’ll be sharing them all, I’m just going to spread them out a bit!)

Valerie Moody Corp Post Image 3

This cute gift bag is super quick to create because you’re letting all the gorgeous Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper do all the work for you! This piece is covered with gold foil dots, and is really more of a card – so it’s absolutely perfect for gift bags/boxes.

You can use this Gift Bag Punch Board video to create it – it’s just a basic one, no tricks. Just start with a piece of card 7″ x 12″ and create it as normal using the L bag measurement on the board.

I’ve finished my Gift Bag off with a Gold Binder Clip, Melon Mambo Twine and Swirly die cut and the Hello using the Pop of Paradise stamp set.

Here’s What You Need

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project. I’ll be sharing the rest from this set along with lots more right here, so I hope you’ll come back soon.

Merry Monday #9 – Wondrous Wreath Gift Box!

OMG! Can you believe it’s the 1st of December tomorrow! Despite all my best efforts, I feel I am the least prepared this year than any year previously! Time just seems to be vanishing before my eyes!

It’s Merry Monday again, and we’re now on Week 9!!! I have a gorgeous, yet easy Gift Box for you today. It’s made using the Envelope Punch Board, and it is so simple!

Stampin' Up! - Wondrous Wreath Gift Box - Merry Monday - Christmas - Stamping With Val - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

Check out the video to see just how easy this box is to create. It’s a design I’ve used a few times over the years, and you can see some of those designs herehere and the base of the Santa Box in this post.

I hoped you’ve enjoyed Merry Monday, we have 3 more weeks to go, so don’t miss them. I’ll be back with before then though, so come back again soon,

Sparkler Surprises!

Hi There! I hope your week is going well? I’m still full of cold, so that makes me a little down in the dumps. However, I did get some crafting time in – which makes me happy!

Running slightly behind schedule, today saw my monthly newsletter go out to subscribers. You can join them if you’d like to see more of my crafty pearls of wisdom – just sign up here!

I created this project inspired by the monthly mood board I create for my subscribers. You won’t find it anywhere else, as I create it for them, I never publish it or pin it, and I include other exclusives for them too!

Stampin' Up! - Sparkler Surprise - Stamping With Val - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

Sparkler Surprises, I’m calling these treats! Just a little fun for Bonfire Night. Or change up the colours and you have a perfect New Year treat too!

These are just a couple of die cut Label’s, decorated with the little starburst-like stamp from Perpetual Calendar – reminded me of fireworks exploding! Then a glitter star and stamped ‘Surprise’ finish them off.

Product List

My colour choices were inspired by the season, but you could totally transform these for New Year or Birthdays!

Speaking of Birthday’s – check back tomorrow for a Birthday Card for someone special – ME! LOL!

Oh, and today is Wednesday and that means new deals! Check these out!

In Color Blossom Accents Earrings

Hi! It’s no great surprise that half term has run away with me. We’ve spent several lovely days catching up with family and friends, so I’ve been nowhere near the craft room or even thought crafty for a few days. The break is nice, but I do miss my daily craft dose!

I managed an hour in my craft room today – I’m not sure how, it’s a bombsite! I decided to whip up a quick gift using the In Color Blossom Accents which are in this week’s Weekly Deals.

Stampin' Up - In Color Blossom Accents - Hamburger Die - Stamping With Val - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

I used a little jewellery glue to add earring backs to the reverse of the Blossom Accents. For me though, a gift is as much about the packaging as the gift itself, so I made a Hamburger Box for these earrings to be given in. Created from Pool Party card, I added a wrap of English Garden DSP. Some Blushing Bride Sequin Trim and a tag sentiment from Homemade For You finish it off.

Here are the Weekly Deals available until the 3rd November:

I also used the following supplies to create this project.

Product List

At this time of year, all those extra gifts can add right up! This project would be perfect this Christmas, especially for teacher’s gifts, co-workers etc. With the Blossom Accents on offer, the earrings are just over 50p a pair to create! Add the extra bits and packaging, I reckon you could bring this gift in under £2 each! Regardless of cost though, these are sure be well received by anyone.

I hope you like today’s project and will stop by again soon.

Quick reminder before you go – my Classes 2 Email are only available until this Saturday 31st October, then they are gone forever! Don’t miss out!

Merry Monday #4 – Winter Wonderland Bow!

Hi! I hope you’ve had a great weekend. I’ve been busy with my family – my in-laws visited us this weekend. My girls are on half term this week, but they are playing with a friend this afternoon so I’m popping in quickly with this week’s Merry Monday!

Stampin' Up! - Wonderland 6 Sided Bow - Video Tutorial - Stamping With Val - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

This week, I’ve a video tutorial on how to create these 6-sided bows using the Bow Builder Punch from Stampin’ Up! I can’t believe that I held off getting this punch when it first came out! I’ve used it loads and it’s probably one of my favourite punches now!

I created a cute little Hexagon Box for gift giving (watch out for a video on that soon too!) and topped it with the Bow made from Winter Wonderland DSP. This is gorgeous paper – really lush with the gold.

I hope you get chance to give the Bow a Go!

Halloween Mini Treat!

Hi! I’m so late posting today! It’s been a funny week – one of those where I’ve been busy, but struggle to see what it is I’ve actually done! I’m hoping I’ve cleared the decks today though, leaving me tomorrow and Friday clear for crafting!

I’ve whipped a little Halloween treat for you today. I’ve told you before I how we don’t really do Halloween, so I don’t buy Halloween stamps. But this leaves me kind of struggling to make treats to show you! All I have current this year is the ‘A Little Something’ stamp set which contains a little spiders stamp and the Trick or Treat sentiment. Still, it’s a great way for me to show you lots of ideas for just one set!

Stampin' Up! - Halloween Mini Treat - Stamping With Val - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.X

I chose this mini treat packet made using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits after finding Glow Sticks in the Halloween dept. of my local supermarket. I love this idea for a treat for Halloween, as it means you don’t have to worry about all the kids who have allergies – dairy, gluten, nuts – Glow sticks have none of those! Plus, my kids can get several hours of fun from Glow sticks, as opposed to the 30 seconds it takes to gobble down some sweets!

I’ve used this great video from Stampin’ Up! to make the little Treat Bag! I love that they share ideas like this with their demonstrators and customers!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this cute Halloween treat today and you’ll stop by again soon.

Make It Yourself!

If you need any supplies for creating your own Halloween treats, I hope you’ll consider me as your demonstrator – I’ve love to serve you.

New Look Newsletter – Autumn Inspiration!

Edited to add: My mistake, you need to use the Sign Up Here button to get my newsletter. I had put Sign Me Up, which means you get an email when I publish a blog post. My sincere apologies if you’ve signed up to the wrong thing, and please do the link under ‘My Newsletter’.

Hi! I hope this week is going well for you? Autumn has well and truly hit in my little piece of England. We’ve had wind, rain, sun – a right mixed bag! I love autumn and all the colours in brings. I also love that now I can justify wearing my coat (I get cold easily), and snuggling on my sofa!

This week I have been working on my new look newsletter, and I must say, I’m rather pleased with it. I’ve totally overhauled what I used to call a ‘newletter’, which was actually little more than class reminders! Yesterday though, subscribers received their own little piece of Autumn into their inboxes – with inspirational photos, projects; even a recipe! I hope they enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed creating it – it certainly inspired me!

If you’d like to sign up to receive my newsletter – there is a ‘Sign Up Here‘ button in the right hand sidebar that will add you to my list. I’m already working behind the scenes on the November one, so sign up and make sure you don’t miss out!

Here’s one of the projects I shared in October’s newsletter – I think I’ll keep the other one exclusive to those receiving the newsletter – a little something just for them – and for you if you join up!

Stampin' Up! - Grateful For You - Autumn Inspiration - Stamping With Val - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

The little card is going out to my customers who made a recent purchase, while the gift bag was given to the lovely ladies who brought new friends to craft with us at the recent Laughs & PaperCrafts Class I held.

I hope you’re enjoying the changing seasons, wherever in the world you live!
