Everything You Need For A Stampin’ Up! Halloween…

Hi! So, it’s half term here with my kids, and we’ve been to the cinema this morning to catch a movie we’d been hoping to see – The Secret Life of Pets! It was so funny! I know we’re late to see it, but at least we got there in the end. Our cinema is offering some special Children in Need screenings this half term, where the proceeds from certain showings are going to the charity, and this was one of them – so that was another great reason for seeing it now.

With just one weekend until Halloween, I thought I do a quick round up of all my recent Stampin’ Up! Halloween projects. That way, if you’re on need of some last minute inspiration, you won’t have to hunt for it – because I’ve collated all together for you! All my projects are quick and easy too, so you won’t need a lot of time to whip some of these up! Some of the projects have videos too!

Halloween Week – Mini Cards!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by again. All this week I’ve been sharing Halloween ideas using several seasonal products from Stampin’ Up! For my final project, I’ve some cute Mini Cards for you:

stampin-up-halloween-week-mini-cards-stamping-with-val-x

Sweet and simple – you could have the kids make them to hand out to their friends, or to pop a treat inside.

I’ve used the fabulous bundle; Spooky Fun stamp set and Halloween Scene dies for these cards – it’s my favourite pair of Halloween products from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn/Winter catalogue. These are easy to create, just make an A6 size card base, add a mixture of images and die cuts from the products and add them to your card fronts!

Here’s what I used:

Halloween Week – Jar Of Haunts for Artisan Design Team!

Hi! Have you been feeling the spooks this week on the blog? Haha! I’m back with another Halloween treat for you today as part of the Artisan Design Team hop. I was worried about created two treats with the Jar of Haunts set this week, but it turned out fun!

Today’s Treat Bag Topper is an idea I played around with over a year a go, but then never turned it into anything! It was fun to revisit an old idea, improve upon using all the new products now available and then share it with you!

Ah! How cute is that?! Even the little spiders are cute! In fact, the cute rather detracts from the scary! Oh well! Would you like to know how I made it? I thought you might, so I made you a video:

And like so many things, totally not just for Halloween – you could so easily recreate these for birthday treats, wedding favours and more!

Thanks for stopping by today. Tomorrow is my final project as part of Halloween Week, I hope you’ll pop by for it. In the meantime, please hop to the delightful Allison in Canada who will blow you away with her scary talents!!

Halloween Week – Party Anyone?

Hi! Thanks for joining me during Halloween week, here on the blog. Do you have a party to celebrate Halloween? Get all dressed up, invite the neighbours? If you do, then you’ll be needed some invitations right?

stampin-up-halloween-week-party-invitation-stamping-with-val-x2

These invitations are super easy to create using the new Halloween Scene Edgelits. I’ve just die cut the tree and fence, and mounted them onto the Perfect Plum card base. I then stamped the sentiment from Confetti Celebrations, ombre-style onto white card and cut out with a circle die. Finally a couple of stamped bats finish it off. Pretty quick, perfect if you need to make a few of them.

Halloween Week – Jar Of Haunts For Stamp Review Crew

jar-of-haunts-banner

Hi and welcome to the Stamp Review Crew blog hop. First up, don’t you just love the banner Tanya made for this hop? The little bones in the corners add a great touch! As you can see, we’re focusing on Jar of Haunts today. We’re just a little blog hop today, so I hope you’ll be able to pop round the whole thing and see all the fun inspiration we have for you.

Halloween treats can be hard to get hold of the UK, and we certainly don’t have the range and selection that the US/CAN enjoy. Usually, ours is the regular sweets, just in larger multipacks! So, I created these Matchbook Treats for one of those that can can easily get hold of – and all year round, so these could easily be made for other occasions.

I’ve made a very quick video showing you how I created these – it is super quick as I was running out of space on my camera card!

Made using a variety of colours and jar fillers! I hope you’ve enjoyed my project today, please hop on to X and see what she has created for you using Jar of Haunts.

A Little Something Spooky For Halloween!

Hi! Well, I think I’ve achieved most of the things on my list this week. I got my hair cut (it’s growing on me, but I realised its the same style I had 20 years ago!), had my photography lesson (It was great!), shopped, tidied (still to finish this!), ran a class and attended a meeting (straight after the class!). Sadly, I’ve not crafted much though.

To round off this busy week, I’ve my final Halloween project for you today, and I’m think it’s cute! Cute doesn’t sound very spooky though, does it? Oh well!

Stampin' Up! - A Little Something - Halloween - Baker's Box - Stamping With Val - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

The box is the bottom half of the Baker’s Box – I just cut the top closure bit off. I then stamped it with little spiders. I die cut a length of Black Glimmer Card using the mini Pumpkin die from the Square Pillow Box Die collection, and wrapped it around the box.

After filling my bag with chocolate eyeballs (!), I tied it closed with a length of Black Baker’s Twine.

My favourite element is the broomstick, and for that I trimmed a length of Kraft Card using my Fringe Scissors, then used tape to wrap it around the end of a pencil. Finally, another length of Black Baker’s Twine and a Trick Or Treat label complete with one of the black glitter pumpkins, finished the look.

Here’s What You’ll Need

The photos are some taken by my photography friend Annie (hers were better than mine, not surprisingly!). However, she said mine weren’t bad, I just need to work on my backgrounds and staging, so I’ll be working on that.

Next week is half term for my children and my hubby is off too, so we’re going to enjoy some family time. I’ll be popping in with posts though, continuing on Monday with my Merry Monday series.

Enjoy your weekend, whatever you’re doing,

Halloween Mini Treat!

Hi! I’m so late posting today! It’s been a funny week – one of those where I’ve been busy, but struggle to see what it is I’ve actually done! I’m hoping I’ve cleared the decks today though, leaving me tomorrow and Friday clear for crafting!

I’ve whipped a little Halloween treat for you today. I’ve told you before I how we don’t really do Halloween, so I don’t buy Halloween stamps. But this leaves me kind of struggling to make treats to show you! All I have current this year is the ‘A Little Something’ stamp set which contains a little spiders stamp and the Trick or Treat sentiment. Still, it’s a great way for me to show you lots of ideas for just one set!

Stampin' Up! - Halloween Mini Treat - Stamping With Val - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.X

I chose this mini treat packet made using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits after finding Glow Sticks in the Halloween dept. of my local supermarket. I love this idea for a treat for Halloween, as it means you don’t have to worry about all the kids who have allergies – dairy, gluten, nuts – Glow sticks have none of those! Plus, my kids can get several hours of fun from Glow sticks, as opposed to the 30 seconds it takes to gobble down some sweets!

I’ve used this great video from Stampin’ Up! to make the little Treat Bag! I love that they share ideas like this with their demonstrators and customers!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this cute Halloween treat today and you’ll stop by again soon.

Make It Yourself!

If you need any supplies for creating your own Halloween treats, I hope you’ll consider me as your demonstrator – I’ve love to serve you.

Do You Trick or Treat?

Hi There! Well, we’ve finally reached the end of tunnel – my girls finally go back to school tomorrow! This last week has been pretty tough as even they have had enough of the holidays now. We’ve been busy but those brains need fully engaging now!

Keeping my brain busy was designing for my monthly card class last week. At the September class, I always like to add a Halloween idea in there. I’ve said before that as a family, we don’t really ‘do’ Halloween, but some folks do, and some don’t. So, I add a project in for those who do, and a little treat idea that can be adapted for those who don’t!

Want to see?

Stampin' Up! - A Little Something - Pillow Box Die - Trick or Treat - Halloween - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

Aren’t those Spider Web Doilies cute? For class, we made the Pillow Box version, stamping it with the ickle spiders from the coordinating ‘A Little Something’ stamp set. Then we stamped the sentiment onto a die cut from the Baker’s Box Thinlits set. Some Silver Thread adds to the ‘web’ look!

So – do you Trick or Treat?

Little Halloween Treats…

Hello! I hope you all had a great weekend? We enjoyed a relatively quiet one, since the kids had just done their week back, we knew they would be tired. We did get some blackberry picking done on Saturday afternoon though. We’re lucky that whilst we live on a fairly new housing estate, it is built on old farm land and many of the original hedgerows have been kept as natural divides, so their are lots of blackberry bushes. We’re also luck that my DH is quite tall and can reach higher than other folks that had already been, meaning there were still some left for us.

Blackberry picking and the leaves on my trees turning brown means that we really are heading towards the holiday season. So, at Laughs & PaperCrafts last Friday night, I had a little Halloween treat for all the attendees:

Stampin' Up! - Curvy Keepsake - Big Shot Die - Halloween Treat - Gifts - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

It’s the Curvy Keepsake Box! The new love of my ‘Big Shotting’ life!

Stampin' Up! - Curvy Keepsake - Big Shot Die - Halloween Treat - Gifts - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

I cut the die twice from Elegant Eggplant card, and sponged it using the same ink through the Star Mask.

Stampin' Up! - Curvy Keepsake - Big Shot Die - Halloween Treat - Gifts - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

The little tag – the moon is cut from Daffodil Delight card using the 1.75″ circle punch. The clouds are from Dazzling Diamonds Glitter Card, cut using the Cupcake punch.

Stampin' Up! - Curvy Keepsake - Big Shot Die - Halloween Treat - Gifts - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

Finally, the bats are cut using the Small Butterfly Punch and Basic Black card.

I popped a few treats inside – cute gift!

Thanks for stopping by today,
