Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Hi There! I’m hopping with the Artisan Design Team today, and have we got a blog hop for you! 20 international designers, chosen for their creativity? What more could you ask for?! So, let’s get stuck in shall we?

I decided to create with the Moroccan Nights stamp set for this hop. This set wasn’t on my wish list, and I was slightly nervous when it turned up in my box – but I’ve had fun creating with it – I love it when a stamp set surprises me!

Stampin' Up! - Moroccan Nights - Artisan Design Team Blog Hop - Valerie Moody. X

Does my image look blurry to you?! Every photo I took of this card looked blurry to me, and yet the photos I took of other projects at the same time all looked fine, so I’m not sure if it’s just me!

Love that funky edge at the bottom of my card – I thought it had a really moroccan feel to it – what do you think?

I’ve another fun and quick video tutorial for you today showing you how I created that edge as well as the border above it – check it out:

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project – please hop on to Allison and see her creation – I know you’ll love it!

Stamping Tips & Tricks With Swirly Bird

Hi There! I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s Artisan Blog Hop –  weren’t all those creations amazing? I loved them all!

Anyway, I’m back with you today with another card using the new Swirly Bird stamp set coming soon, and a fun Stamping Tip too. One element of being on the Artisan Design Team is to offer a tip every quarter to be used on Instagram. I came up with this one, but apparently Sara will be sharing a similar idea soon, so mine was no use. That was sad, but they did say I could share it with you guys on here, so here you go!

Stampin' Up! - Swirly Bird - Stamping Tips & Tricks - Stamping With Val - Valerie Moody; Idependent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

Here’s my card using Swirly Bird, isn’t it cute? But it’s my Sun on the card which uses my Stamping Tip – are you ready to see it?

It’s been a few months since I did a video – and you can tell! Please forgive me, I got a bit repetitive at times. I need to do more – don’t you think?

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and Stamping Trick, please let me know – and what else you’d like to video’s on.

See you back here next week – I’ll be sharing my Display Stamper projects all week!

Bring Me Sunshine!

Hi! Today I am in Telford with over 350 other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators as we meet for our local OnStage event (Stampin’ Up! Convention). We’ll be chatting, swapping – and seeing lots of new upcoming products…I’m so excited!

Today I’m sharing a box I made a couple of weeks ago as I worked on one of my Artisan Design Team projects. This one didn’t make the cut. I don’t dislike it, it just didn’t wow me enough for that particular blog hop, so I’m sharing it with you today:

Stampin' Up! - You Brighten My Day - Sunburst Thinlit - Stamping With Val - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X2

At first glance, the Shine On DSP didn’t do much for me, but the more I’ve used it, the more I love it! I also love that you can cut the Sunshine Thinlit down to suit different projects – this square shape is fun!

The box is made using the Envelope Punch Board. The Shine On DSP is perfect for box making because it’s just that bit thicker than regular card – and you know I love my boxes!

You can make this box using the video instructions below:

I’ll be back next week with LOTS more – blog hops, retired list, sneak peeks – it’s all going on!

Birthday Party For The Artisan Design Team

Welcome to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. If you came from Susan’s blog – isn’t she amazing? If you’re starting with me though, don’t forget to hop all the way around the world with our international team. I don’t know about you, but I’m loving all the team’s projects, this month and every month. So many gorgeous styles and projects to inspire me.

For this month’s project, we were asked to create projects using the Birthday Bouquet suite of products. This was not a problem, as this suite is one of my favourite’s in the entire Occasions catalogue. I decided to design some party decor with it. Not that it’s anyone’s birthday in particular, we all have ours at the end of the year – but birthday’s are my favourite occasion to design for.

Here’s what I did:

Happy Blooming Birthday - Valerie Moody - Artisan Design Team 2
*I have updated the original photo I submitted to Stampin’ Up! with some taken on a day with better lighting!

Anyway, I started with the banner, using the Framelits to create the base and adding stamping, gold lettering and DSP banners for my message. I then strung them onto white twine and added the Honeycomb Embellishments between each letter. I stuck two back to back to create a whole honeycomb sphere in each space.

I then carried the same theme through to my card and gift bag – made with the Gift Bag Punch Board, of course! Don’t you love those little Bow Paper Clips too – those and the honeycomb ones – LOVE!

Happy Blooming Birthday - Valerie Moody - Artisan Design Team

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project today. If you’d like more ideas using this suite, or if birthday’s are your favourite occasion to create for – why not join my online class – Let’s Make An Occasion Of it! It doesn’t matter where in the world you are (it’s online via Facebook – you’ll need an account), Beginner or Advanced (video’s take you through every project), it’s full of fun techniques and gorgeous projects you’ll want to make. Plus, I include both metric and imperial measurements where possible.

Class Advert

Now, don’t forget to hop over and see the lovely Allison and her stunning project – you’re going to love it!
