Artisan Design Team Blog Hop – Meet The Designers!

Welcome to the very 1st Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Today we’re going to hop around and get to know the team, and share a project or two, of course! For those of you who are not familiar with my blog, here’s a bit about me:

My name is Valerie Moody and I live in Rugby, England. Married to my amazingly patient husband for 12 years, I am a SAHM to our identical twin daughters who are 9. Despite a mother who sewed, knitted, made jewelry and more; for many years, I never considered myself to be of a crafty disposition!

After completing a degree in Molecular Biology, I followed a career in Genetic Research. One day, I bought a card making magazine in the hospital shop out of curiosity and the rest, as they say, is history! One magazine contained an article showcasing Stampin’ Up! and I fell in love with the product co-ordination – everything matched! I joined up soon after with the intention of buying supplies for myself, but decided I need to share the gorgeousness with my crafty friends! That was 7 years ago and I’ve never looked back. My style is pretty clean and simple, I LOVE my Big Shot and I adore making 3D projects – gift bags and boxes are a particular favourite.

I discovered the existence of the Artisan Design Team about 5 years ago at a time when it was only open to US Demonstrators. When it was announced it would go global, I was so keen to apply but got nervous and never did. I was then disappointed when I wasn’t selected! Daft, or what? So this year I put my name forward. I am so honoured (and still rather shocked!) to have been selected for this year’s team, and I look forward to sharing my creations with you.

I’ve mixed a little new with some current products to create this cute card and purse combo for you today:

I’ve used the gorgeous new Birthday Blooms stamp set along with it’s co-ordinating DSP and Pool Party Glitter Ribbon to create this card. LOVE that paper!

The purse is made using the Square Pillow Box die – available for just a few more weeks – I’ve been telling anyone who’ll listen, you NEED this die! More of the Pool Party Glitter Ribbon for a handle, and that paper too – swoon!
